This week, Ben and his remaining three ladies venture down to paradise, where the fantasy suite is anxiously awaiting their arrival because hello, overnight dates.
Ben: “Honestly, I think Jamaica could be a really great place to fall in love.”
We haven’t heard this line before. Never. Not once!!
Ben: “I actually feel, at this point, that it’s the deepest relationship I have.”
Yeah!! Minus the whole “I wish she cried and shared her feelings more” thing.
Caila joins Ben on a rafting trip down a murky river (foreshadowing, anyone?). Their connection is sOoOo deep that they are nearly silent the entire ride.
Caila: “It’s funny that you noticed that I was weird today.” LOL. HILARIOUS. Falling out of my chair.
Blah blah..woop, there it is. The ‘L’ word. Caila tells Ben she’s in love with him and he responds with an “Oh, okay cool” kiss.
Caila: “Ben doesn’t have to say anything. I tell him I love him and I can see in his eyes, and I can feel in his breath that he feels the same.”
I’m having some serious Olivia déjà vu right now.
Ben: “This is what I’ve been wanting.”
BUT YOU DIDN’T SAY IT BACK.
The morning after the fantasy suite…
Caila: “I love you.”
Ben: *smiles because what else can he do here*
Caila: “I’m in love and I feel like he loves me. Ben can’t tell me that he’s in love with me, but Ben didn’t have to say any words. It’s just something I felt.”
Yeah, you’re really good at reading body language.
Ben and Lauren’s date has some major Last Song vibes. They spend the day at the beach releasing baby sea turtles into the ocean.
Ben: “This date just means a little bit more and it’s super cool because Lauren and I actually are helping turtles survive and that’s a very important thing.”
PLEASE, alert the media!!!! Also, by saying “this date just means a little bit more,” Ben is basically admitting that his date with Caila pales in comparison.
Lauren tells Ben she’s completely in love with him in the fantasy suite, and…wait, HE SAYS IT BACK?!?! Excuse me, sir, you are breaking a cardinal Bachelor rule.
The two lovebirds stare longingly into each other’s eyes and then…you can fill in the blanks. Lauren’s morning afterglow says it all.
Ben and JoJo take a helicopter joy ride (surprise, surprise) over Jamaica. Then, against TLC’s wishes, they go chasing waterfalls.
Hold the phone. Jojo tells Ben she loves him and he says it back. Seriously, did Ben forget that saying “ILY” before the final week is a big no-no?
Jojo: “Baaaabe, I was so nervous.”
You have not snagged him yet, girlfriend. He is not your “babe”. Also, why do you sound like a whiny child begging her mom to buy her candy at the grocery store?
Ben: “You look good. You’re so cute.”
Ben: “Uh, you are.”
Jojo: “You are cute.”
Ben: “No, you are.”
SAVE ME FROM MYSELF.
Ben concludes that Caila’s amazing but he isn’t in love with her, so he knows he has to send her home. Meanwhile…
Caila: “I want to remind him I’m here, and I’m thinking of you and I’m loving you. So I wanna see him.”
*Ben sits in a chair, pondering what he’s going to say to Caila, ~CLEARLY~ unsuspecting of his surprise visitor.*
Caila moseys on over to Ben with her dopey grin and laugh to match. She sneaks up behind him and covers his eyes because she is just full of AWESOME surprises.
Ben: “What the heck?”
Glad to know we’re on the same page here.
Too bad Ben already made up his mind before she came over. He ends up letting her go before the rose ceremony.
Ben has a horrible tendency to tell the girls how perfect they are right before he gives them the boot. However, he did get Caila to finally shed some tears.
Caila: “I think I’m just going to go. You stay.”
Ben: “Can I walk you out?”
Caila: “Sure, yeah.”
Ben: “I’m going to miss so many things about you, and I don’t wanna make it harder by saying it, but, like, so many things about you.”
But you are making it harder, so shut up.
Caila and Ben part on good terms, sharing a hug before Caila departs. At least her hair is still intact.
Ben tells Lauren and JoJo that his feelings for Caila couldn’t catch up, and declares them his final two.
Then, things go from 0 to Sister Wives real quick, when he pulls them in for a group hug. Polygamy doesn’t suit you, Ben.
Lauren: “I’ve never been in love with two people but I don’t think that it’s impossible. I think that it’s very possible.”
Oh, is that what “not impossible” means? Thank you.
