SWEET BLOG OF MINE

storyteller through style

Blush Crush

February 1, 2017 Comment : 1

In the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit that I am not responsible for the formation of this outfit. You could say I was in a bit of a style slump on this particularly day. On the bright side, it truly pays to have a sister who doubles as your roommate and personal stylist, especially when you find yourself staring blankly at your closet while simultaneously questioning your ability to dress yourself on a daily basis.

Thanks to Tori, I can finally give these faux suede pants the spotlight they deserve. Ironically, it comes at the price of not wearing an ounce of black (I don’t count the booties), which is obviously very rare for yo girl. Nothing like a temporary departure from your everyday style norms to help shake things up, amirite?!

To say the least, this outfit reveals a multitude of textures, from furry fringe to smooth suede. As a result, each piece can stand alone and make individually bold statements. I especially love the blush pink tones set against the white and the snakeskin. When you think pink, you tend to think soft and demure. Despite all that is going on in this ensemble, though, there is no doubt that pink holds the power.
