There is something about the summer air that really gets me going. While I could do without the pervasive New York humidity, the summer instills a hankering for exploration in me. With so much to see and do here, I make it a mission to frequently hit up the spots I’ve never before experienced. If traveling can’t make the cut in your current budget, play tourist in your city.
This brings us to Coney Island. I first learned about the area years ago while watching the movie Uptown Girls, but considering my fear of roller-coasters, I never anticipated stepping foot in the amusement park. However, the park bursts with eccentricity and color and epitomizes the glory of summer, so, naturally, shooting here was a must. Plus, I got to spend quality time with Jacob and my fellow blogger babe, Megan. In my book, great company and sunshine make for a solid summer day.
For this look, I wanted retro vibes to complement the vibrant colors of the park, so I styled an outfit that, once again, features elements of previous looks. In doing so, I chose to stick with a uniform, denim-and-white ensemble because any additional color would most likely give someone a migraine. Just kidding, but when you’re in a place that radiates so much personality, sometimes it’s best to sit back and let the setting do the talking.
