If you are reading this, congratulations! You have pulled yourself out of the dismal cesspool of events that was 2016 and found yourself inching your way through the new year with a fresh, clean start. More importantly, you’ve miraculously managed to put up with my lame attempts at witticisms for one full year. Gold star for you.
Real talk, though, thank you. This blog would not be possible without the love, support and advice imparted to me by my family, friends and fellow blogger babes. If I maintain ONE resolution in 2017 — sorry, gym — it will be to continue on the path to sharing great content with you all, only bigger and better than ever.
Now, enough of my sentimental babble and onto issues that matter, like this outfit. If there’s one thing I value in a look over everything else, it’s comfort. I know what you’re thinking. Half of the shoes in this girl’s closet don’t even BEGIN to cross the threshold of comfort. Although that is 100% correct, in my defense, those shoes are meant to be worn whilst walking short distances or spending most of the day with your booty parked in a seat.
For me, the true pursuit of comfort in an outfit comes from wearing something soft and snug on ze body. This grey sweater from Mango embodies the indelible joy I feel every time sweater weather rolls around. It is not only crazily soft, but paired smartly, it can act as the perfect work top.
For this particular ensemble, I took the liberty of creating a minimal, work professional outfit as an example of how the responsibility of outfit comfortability shouldn’t fall solely on sweats and yoga pants. In doing so, I rocked the sweater of my dreams with my treasured ballet heels and new pinstripe pants from Zara. How cute is that bow, though?!
