If there is one thing we should all begin paying more mind to regarding our clothing and accessory purchases, it’s sustainable fashion. Given the precarious state of our environment, it is important to strive toward making more eco-friendly decisions, no matter how big or small.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to model for handbag designer Angela Roi’s Urban Model Campaign. For those of you who are unaware, Angela Roi is an ethical luxury fashion brand that prides itself on its platform of crafting ethical, cruelty-free handbags with premium vegan leather and contributing to reducing the world’s rapidly-growing carbon footprint. Furthermore, they partner with the ASPCA (American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to help fight the mistreatment of animals, which, as an animal lover, means so much to me.
For the first half of the shoot, I chose to style the Eleanor Satchel bag with a corporate chic ensemble. I love the bag’s shape and sleek design, as well as the fact that it isn’t a crazy large tote; but believe me when I tell you it can carry all of your basic essentials, and maybe just a bit more.
I figured instead of my usual all-black, I’d go for a brighter minimalist look this time around. I was so happy I found this Mango quarter-sleeve turtleneck, as I had been on the lookout for a top with a ring zipper detail for awhile. Vintage, you know. I then paired the top with my gingham pants from Zara to throw in a little print to the mix.
I know, this is my third consecutive post in which these Oak + Fort mules have made an appearance. SORRY ‘BOUT IT. In my defense, they are also vegan leather, so they are extra relevant to this post!
Keep an eye out for Part Two of my shoot with Angela Roi early next week. In the meantime, learn more about the brand and their fabulous handbags here. Oh, and send your love to Mother Nature while you’re at it. 🙂
