Dear Fall,
It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance once again. Although I anticipate your time here will be depressingly fleeting, I want you to know how my spirit transforms when you’re around.
Wonderful changes are on the horizon. The foliage turns vibrant in color and mood. The sticky, humid air becomes cool and crisp, like the puff sleeves on this top (you know it’s true). Apple orchards are bountiful and ready for the masses. Halloween candy hits the shelves before you can even ask, “Who are you dressing up as this year?” You are quite eccentric, but in a good way.
Ironically, your arrival makes me want to be outdoors as much as possible. The way you blanket the city with red, orange and yellow is a testament to the raw, intrinsic beauty of nature that we so often forget. Soon enough, you litter the streets with our past to make room for the new. Your coveted breeze dances through the trees without a care to be found. You know how to make an entrance, and I happily walk alongside you when you do.
You see, autumn, you are my spring. You give me the fuel to become a better version of myself than I was the year before. I thrive off your positive energy that brings people together. With you around, I love a little harder and worry a little less. Thanks for being you.

I must say I love your write-up on the start of Autumn. It had such a lyrical rhythm and a gentle positive lift to my spirit! Here where I am there is no Fall, but you make me picture it vividly through your words. And that is really stunning! Of course, your pictures too.
