If there is one television character from whom we could learn a thing or two, it’s Sex and the City’s #1 straight shooter and sass master, Samantha Jones. Our favorite “try-sexual” is the mainstay of independent and confident women everywhere, teaching us to open ourselves up to new experiences and be self-accepting and honest with ourselves and those close to us. What’s more, her steadfast spirit extends far beyond her unjaded sexual appetite. Between her undying loyalty to her friends and a successful career as a public relations executive, Samantha Jones seems to have it all. For six seasons, she supplied us with perpetual wisdom and an unparalleled sexual humor that never fails to land us on the floor in hysterics. As an avid Sex and the City fan personally inspired by Samantha’s tenacity and big heart, I have decided to thank her for what she has taught us about being empowered women.
