Oppa Gingham Style

Culottes: easy, breezy and downright comfortable. I feel like I’m going cloud surfing whilst walking through the busy NYC streets in this delightful pair of gingham beauties from Zara. The wide-legged pants are wonderfully airy and provide the ideal contrast to your favorite pair of skinny jeans you’re low-key sick of wearing. Also, their high-waisted style emits total “I mean business” vibes. What’s not to love?

For this look, I paired the culottes with my ghillie lace-up ballet flats from ASOS, as well as a dressy cami from Express. If you don’t already own one of these Express tops, make the purchase right now. I already own two, and I’m not opposed to buying another. They, too, are light to the touch and can be dressed up or down.

Lastly, I topped off this ensemble with my beloved black tote from Lulu’s. Fun fact: at the time this photo was taken, four reusable Trader Joe’s bags resided in this purse to ready myself for the craziness that is grocery shopping in this city. I can’t think of anything more glamorous than that.
