Happy Spring, everyone! Despite the minimal change in weather, I’m trying to convince myself that if I start dressing for the season, warmth is slated to arrive sooner. Much to my dismay, this isn’t how the game is played.
Anyway, let’s talk denim, shall we? If I thought my love of flared jeans was great enough already, it REALLY doubled in size once I came across these bell-bottoms on SheIn. I was immediately drawn to the torn detail, as I had never seen a style of pants that radically different before. I like how they show off skin in a way that doesn’t reveal too much, yet at the same time galvanizes interest in passersby who, like me, are vastly intrigued by the pants’ aesthetic. What’s more, they retailed (sadly, they are now sold out) at just $25!!! Simply put, this was a purchase I couldn’t skip out on.
In an effort to merge retro and street styles, I paired the jeans with my Nasty Gal leather jacket and a dark-washed denim top from ASOS. I wanted to play with cool tones in this look, so it was a blast getting to showcase the stark contrast between light and dark denim.
To top off the ensemble, I wore my snakeskin booties from Free People to incorporate some additional texture into the look, as well as my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody to even out the leather-denim combination.
