Breaking News: Your girl is FINALLY investing in accessories. If you ask me how much jewelry I currently have to my name, the answer might depress you. The truth is, sometimes a bag or piece of jewelry can tie an entire outfit together. It’s just a matter of finding what works within your price range and/or desired aesthetic.
Considering I haven’t purchased a new jewelry item since ‘Nam, I was beyond excited to receive this watch from The 5TH. This lifestyle and fashion accessory brand is one of the coolest around right now and is 110% worth a look. The 5TH’s timepieces are inspired by the spirit of the cities and neighborhoods they are named after, including Tokyo, Melbourne, and New York City. While all are crafted in minimal design, each watch is unique in vibe and backstory. The watch I’m sporting, the SoHo, represents the sleek and chic atmosphere of the eponymous NYC neighborhood (and one that I love so dearly). By giving each individual timepiece an identity, it makes me feel like I’m wearing more than just a watch.
Another reason why I love The 5TH is because of their take on time and how it applies to their branding strategy. The 5TH stresses the mantra, “Exclusive by time, not by price.” This means that on the fifth of every month, their watches go on sale online for only FIVE days. How’s that for a kicker? Miss your opportunity, and you’ll have to wait another month to make your golden purchase. The 5TH fam understands that waiting for something you can’t have right when you want it is an intrinsic part of human nature, so why make you pay a hefty price for doing so? Between their products being effortlessly stylish and affordable, how can you not give The 5TH a chance?
For this particular look, I strived to incorporate a modern timepiece into a classic vintage ensemble. This mohair Ralph Lauren sweater comes from Courtyard L.A., an Instagram shop that sells desirable vintage pieces at discounted prices. I paid $50 for this sucker, and it is currently one of my new closet favorites. For the bottom half, I paired the sweater with my faux suede flares from Missguided, as well as my new patent leather boots from Mango. Although you can’t really see the boots in this post, trust me when I tell you they will be back on the blog very soon. 🙂
*Thank you to the 5TH for gifting me with the watch. All opinions expressed are my own.
