The older I get, the more I appreciate fashion as a therapy of sorts. This does not refer to the copious hours spent in bed online shopping, haha; instead, I am pointing to the clothes that empower and motivate me to be the best that I can be. In a city like New York, the hustle itself is only part of the journey. How you carry yourself in accomplishing that hustle is just as important. When I am looking my best, my internal sentiments follow suit.
Speaking of suits, my gal Laura at Shop Journal hooked me up with this blazer, which paired up perfectly with my high-waisted trousers from Zara. Like many of my female counterparts, I consider the pantsuit to be the official sartorial hallmark of boss babes everywhere. With fashion becoming evermore fluid, it makes it that much easier to dress in what makes you feel sanguine and confident, no matter who gives you hater-filled double-takes on your city strolls.
To rocket this look to the moon, I threw on the classic, everyone-should-own-one, camel coat. To a degree, it helps distract from the fact that my pantsuit is bordering on pajama status. The good news? Pajamas are a hit in the streets right now.
What types of clothes and/or outfits make you feel most confident? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below! 🙂
