When life hands you a wind tunnel, make it your bitch…for real. Shooting photos isn’t all fun and games when weather conditions pertinent to a concrete jungle refuse to GTFO, but why let that stop you? Work with it and I swear, the wind will do your bidding, even when your gut and freezing body are telling you to quit.
Moving right along, let’s talk OOTD. Today, we’re starting from the ground up, because these Oak + Fort mules are truly a sight for sore eyes. I have, without a doubt, found my perfect shoe. Sole searching (LOL, get it?!?) over! These darlings are surprisingly comfortable and walker-friendly for someone who, like me, thinks heeled shoes of any kind are the Devil’s spawn. Best of all, they were a <$100 splurge AND, because they’re camel, go with virtually any color in your wardrobe!
As you can see, I wasted no time debuting the shoes in classic Sami fashion, a.k.a. minimal ’70s fashion. I wanted to incorporate my other Oak + Fort purchase (the pants), into the look by pairing it with my beloved Mango sweater to create more modern minimal vibes. Of course, what started off as a more contemporary look quickly became an instant ’70s throwback outfit with the return of the infamous Kenneth Cole teddy coat and Frankie Shop croc purse. Ugh, that ring handle is just too much.
Lastly, I threw in a pair of fishnet tights as icing on the cake because what’s one more texture, really? TBH, though, I think the trend is underrated and I wanted to give it a shot. Gotta risk it to get the biscuit, you know?
