It goes without saying that Zara has turned into an emporium of everlasting, sartorial bliss. If you haven’t had time to check out their website or step into the store in the last several eons, do it. However, I highly encourage you to proceed with caution. Inside every girl is a shopaholic just waiting to claw its way to the surface, and any and all eyes on Zara’s recent clothing selection will most certainly release the Kraken.
In the words of our beloved Stefon from Saturday Night Live, this store has EVERYTHING — varsity bomber jackets, leather jumpsuits (bless you, Capsule Collection), and pretty much everything your young, working professional heart desires.
Anyway, I’m not here to talk about my personal love affair with a store. I’m here to talk about the products of my love affair with said store. In this case, it’s all about the frilled tulle shirt. As soon as I saw the shirt, I knew I was hooked for life. The frills give the shirt texture and volume, which is also how my hair looks when I get a dope haircut (which happened right after this photo shoot, TBH). I also knew I could style it with a faux fur coat and flared, faux suede pants and create the ultimate vintage ensemble.
Instead of pairing heeled boots with the pants, like I normally do, I opted for my new pair of Topshop loafers. Because if there’s anything I’ve learned living in New York, it’s that you really just need to say “yes” to sensible footwear.
Also, I know this Coach bag has made the rounds quite a bit on the blog. There will be new handbags to come, I promise. After all, good things come to those who wait.
