I dare say, it’s been awhile. I recently made the big move to New York City, and while I love it so, I was quick to forget that uncontrollable schvitzing is a seemingly unavoidable symptom of summer in the concrete jungle. Nevertheless, I put on my big-girl pants (that is, my beloved bell-bottoms from Nasty Gal), and braved the sweltering heat for this weekend’s shoot.
I featured these jeans in my ’70s lookbook a few months back, and I’m as in love with them now as I was when I first slipped them on. This time, I decided to pair them with a knotted white tee from Pixie Market. This top, a crossbreed of “Parisian chic” and “vintage-feminine” styles, has had its fair share of wears since I purchased it. It was not too long ago that I discovered Pixie Market, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of checking it out, I highly recommend doing so.
To complete the ensemble, I adorned my feet with snakeskin booties that I recently bought on sale at an unbelievably low price at Free People. It’s all about the sales and steals, my dears. You’d be surprised at what you can come across once you do some digging.
