Lately, it feels as though I’ve been placing the blog on multiple hiatuses. For those of you who follow along, my sincerest apologies. I can solely blame it on the good ‘ol writer’s block, AS USUAL, or I can partially chalk it up to a chronic case of laziness (step one is admitting you have a problem) and stalwart desire to live more in the moment, away from screens and petty social media apps.
Regardless of ~excuse~, I am back, and I am making a vow to you all, but most importantly, to myself, that I will not let this blog fall by the wayside. This little slice of the Internet is my personal escape, my baby. No matter what life throws in my corner, that will not change.
A lot has happened since we last “talked”. As I had mentioned previously, Jacob and I journeyed to London together about a month ago, and man, was it wonderful (full blog post coming soon). My sister graduated from college this past weekend, and I am making some exciting moves at my full-time job. Oh, and it FINALLY feels like summer. Took ya long enough, NYC.
With all of this life talk out of the way, let’s get down to the nitty gritty (I’m clearly playing HQ way too much) and discuss this outfit, because I AM FEELING IT. I wore this look on my penultimate day in London, which happened to be one of two days in which the sun decided to make an appearance during our week-long trip. Obviously, I was going to ball out.
I could not get enough of these burnt red-orange pants from Backbeat Rags. Not only are they crazy comfy, but they are eco-friendly as well. I paired them with a gingham blazer, fisherman’s cap, Vans, and skinny sunnies (yep, I shamelessly jumped on the bandwagon) to create a more androgynous street-style look. Given that spring temperatures came out in full force that day, I wanted to make sure my warm tones matched the mood.
I hope this post was a nice little prelude to my London travel guide, coming at you live NEXT WEEK! Stay tuned, babes. <3
