My apologies for the extended disappearing act, loves. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a blogger, it’s that it’s COMPLETELY normal and acceptable for life to get in the way once in a blue moon. We’re only human, after all. Take care of yourself and enjoy living in the moment.
As you could imagine, it was a wee bit nippy outside during this shoot. Of course, the masochist within/devil on my shoulder (they’re interchangeable at this point) said, “Come on, girl. What do you have to lose by wearing this outfit today?” Hmm, aside from every ounce of feeling in my body and the remaining vestiges of my dignity, I guess nothing!!!
Ranting aside, I received these metallic creepers from Zooshoo a few weeks back, and I actually can’t stop wearing them. Aside from being crazy affordable, these shoes take futuristic style to a whole new level of unique and fun.
It wasn’t until I finished putting this outfit together that I realized that each part of it (other than the fishnet tights) shines…literally. The patent leather skirt, the satin bomber top (SPOILER: not jacket, as discussed in a past post) and the shoes comprise a recipe for the trifecta I like to call “Sheen Queens.”
Normally, I am at odds with the sun (#palepersonprobs), but for once, I am praising its existence. To me, the sun enhances the street style elements of this look’s various textures with added luster. Ugh, and now I’m thinking about Paolo telling Lizzie she “shines like the light from the sun” in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, so I’m going to peace out before I start vomiting. XOXO
